Harry Vergara

Born and raised in the Philippines, one of the most pool-obsessed nations on the planet, Harry "The Wizard" Vergara began his journey by looking up to legends like Efren Reyes and Francisco Bustamante. His grind, his instinct, and an almost supernatural feel for the game have earned him his nickname and shaped the player he is today—a player who seems to find solutions where others see dead ends.

Competing on the Matchroom World Nineball Tour, Harry has steadily built his reputation as one of the more dangerous players in any draw. His breakout moment came at the 2025 Hanoi Open, where he defeated Fraser Patrick and Jonas Souto back-to-back to reach the semi-finals; A deep run at a Matchroom Major and a statement performance in front of the most passionate billiards crowds in Southeast Asia. That run followed a strong 2024 campaign that included a runner-up finish at the 99 Billiards Club event in Vietnam, where he pushed compatriot AJ Manas to a tight 13-12 deciding rack in the final.

Harry has climbed as high as 51st in the World Nineball Rankings, competing across Asia and the Middle East. He’s a road warrior at home on any table, in any time zone.

What stands out about Harry's game is the same thing that earned him his nickname: unpredictability with purpose. Where some players telegraph their intentions, The Wizard keeps his opponents guessing, using position, angles, and a deep tactical awareness to control the pace of a match. It is a style built on reading the table, not just running it.

That instinct for problem-solving and a feel for the unexpected aligns naturally with what we are doing at Triple 60. Harry is a player still ascending, with serious results already on his resume and more in his sights.
